Firstly I just realised I spelt cheque wrong DUH or is that wrongly
Secondly, if the forum does come to an end, I hope they give us some time to say goodbye and organize something else and not just pull the plug!

That would be the decent thing to do Frank for those who have supported both the forum and the mag for many years.
I’m sure they will treat members here with respect should they decide there is no future for CandM Forum.

Re: AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION FOR A FORUM ?
Have not received a call back but did get someone else to call. The person they spoke with said the magazine was no longer being produced and they were unaware of any other changes.
The Caravanning & Motorhome Website is still operating.
Crossing ones fingers may be the order of the day for us.
Maybe someone in NSW might like to visit the office???

Totally agree with you Frank.Frank & Brenda wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 9:14 amJoining a forum as i see it is not only to get something out of it but also to give some ideasNeophema wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 2:04 pm1. Haven’t got any problems to speak of, been bush camping regularly since the mid 70’s. Why would I want to ask someone with less experience than me?glanyard wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 9:28 amNeophema,
1. The amount of activity depends on you; by not asking about your problems means you have none? Go on!.
2. If you are looking at it once per week, then you are missing those posts that have come and gone in that time.
3. We have a handful of dominant characters because you choose not to be one.

2. Always look through to see what’s been posted for the previous week. Only takes about 20 minutes usually.
3. Don’t feel the need to become a major contributor. When I have something constructive to say I say it.
168 posts since joining isn’t too bad, better than some. Averages out at about 11 posts per month.
Your 40+ years experience is something to be shared, I’m sure that by putting up some of the things you’ve done, those who are just starting out or even some more experienced could learn something new
I am always on the look out for new ideas.
Plus if I have an idea I like to share same her for others to perhaps benefit.

Re: AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION FOR A FORUM ?
A question answered from a while ago, Is it possible to get copies of posts?
EMG may already have this facility available to them to print out posts or complete topics or even electronically to files but not releasing it to the general mass. In lieu of this facility, I can only suggest taking screen captures of information you may wish to keep. I do.
I can see that information can go out of date very quickly these days so I am not surprised.

Copy/paste stuff you’d like to keep for future reference into Word or similar and file them in a meaningfully titled folder.
