Hi Rod,
I love the old pics as well and especially started the thread due to the memories that they will bring from the past. Also there was a lot of worry that members are dropping away due to the changes in the forum, and I thought it would generate some interest. This is a unique forum and a lot of great ideas and thoughts are generated, and I find most folk try to be helpful.

This is off topic but My Dads first truck was a 1926 Morris Commercial tray that he put sides on,and cost 50 quid.We never had colour pics at the time of this photo, and in fact it was my first attempt at Photo Shop,14 years ago. The truck was in black and white and I coloured it in.The pic of Dad was him leaning against our house.I cut him out and reversed his position to lean against the truck, and coloured him in as well.then I had a pretty poor attempt at the scenery.
I have been meaning to do it all correctly but it seem I just don't have the heart.
This old truck had a set of levers at the wheel so that the richness of the fuel could be adjusted. To start it ,you turned the key and then pressed a button.I think that is becoming fashionable as well. Pity I could not spell Commercial back then.

Hey Rod
It's a photo editing program, another one is PhotoImpact, and it's the one I use as I find it a bit more user friendly for the less educated (in image editing) compared with Photoshop.

You almost need a degree to use photoshop - or a lot of time and patience

I think you did a pretty good job, better than I could anyway. I think the levers on the steering column would probably have been the advance or retard of the ignition, not the fuel mixture. Would like to have the truck now.

That's spot on guys I am currently using PS Cs 4. But having used it for years I can say it is a marvellous program and very handy .Most would be happy with the smaller versions though which are cheaper and have most of the image manipulation settings.

Rod ,This took 5 minutes. I copied both you sigs and selected you car and van and pasted them into the other pic. Now that's pretty good backing up there.
