Why go to that trouble. I simply hit the F11 button. Takes out all the toolbars and leaves you with the forum page.

Errol

But it doesn't change how the forum page looks at all. All that does is remove the Firefox toolbar at the top. Using ctrl and the scroll wheel helps with the text but is annoying to have to do each time and still doesn't change the brightness issue.
The forum skin does have some issues. The text is too small, the whole thing is too white, I dislike the blue cloudy background and then it merges into bright white. I have reasonably good eyes and even I was finding it too much. See the screenshots in my first post and you'll notice the forum page looks different.
BUT I do like phpBB, the format that it uses.

It can be made to work in Chrome as well. Safari users, which is a good browser, are out of luck. And nobody with any sanity should be using Internet Explorer.

Fair go Brett! I had better than marginal sanity at last check and I use Chrome and Firefox. They both continue to niggle me so I use Explorer 98% of the time and I'm no fan of Billy Goats.

When you design websites you realise how terrible IE is. It is very poor at adhering to web standards.

Just started a new thread on why you should ditch Internet Explorer.

Agreed!, but try telling that to my other half, she thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread, and then swears and curses every time she uses it. The kids and I all use Firefox, but she won't be swayed.

Hi Brett
I think I did what you suggested, installed Greasemonkey and the link too the forum, but it didn't change anything. What have I done or haven't done.
