Just completed a quick update of the website plugin for Firefox.

Here is how the forum normally looks like on my screen:


And here it is after the Firefox plugin:


If you want this look it is a simple two step process.
First of all you need to have the Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748/

Then just go to the following link (after restarting Firefox) and say that you want to install the Greasemonkey script: http://ozcamps.net/candm/candm_forum.user.js

And that should be it.

Gets rid of the banners, increases text size, changes background colour.

Ad Block Plus is also a great addition for Firefox users, stops pop-ups and advertisements from appearing on your screen. It's funny when a thread is started by other forum members complaining about a repetitive or annoying ad in their browser, and I can't for the life of me figure out what they're talking about.... I forget I even have it running.

Thanks. Also note that it is easy to modify so that if you want even bigger text you can do that yourself.

Can also disable it very easy if you don't want it.

Excellent plugin, I love it!

Only came across Greasemonkey a couple of weeks ago. I use a script on Caravaners Forum which allows you to remove threads permanently. This is great because some threads I just ain't interested in and it stops it showing up in the "View unread posts" or "View new posts" when people add a post to it.

I still think that it would be good for CANDM to take some feedback on board and change it for everyone, but this is better than nothing.

But the feature that I would love them to do is the topic previews when the mouse hovers over it ( http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/topic_preview/ ).

Why go to that trouble. I simply hit the F11 button. Takes out all the toolbars and leaves you with the forum page.

Many thanks for the link to Adblock Motormouse. Been using Firefox for years now have most addons but not Adblock.
I have installed it and saves me a few kb's which may not seem much but when your on wireless and with only 2GB per month every bit helps.
Errol this also works on other web sites as well which is good for me.
