I got a piece of 50mm thick foam and cut it to the size of the cupboard.

Then put the glasses on top and marked with a texta.

Cut holes right through where the marks were and now just slide the glasses into the holes.

Cost $2 for the foam and half an hour to make it up

They are far enough apart that they dont touch each other and havent broken anything in 50,000k

We use cut down milk cartons. Cut to length of the glass (wine and normal) cover with coloured contact then stack in a plastic box in the cupboard. Works great, easy to get out and keeps the glass safe while on the road.

We also bought the bracket from Northcoach after posting a similar query. They work a treat and look most acceptable too. There was no space inside a cupboard to install them so they are now firmly affixed to the wall above the fridge... handy!!!!!

The price was quite acceptable and we now have wine glasses with stems not plastic imitations. BTW we had tried the glasses in the stubby holders but unfortunately had a couple of occasions where the glasses fell over and the stems snapped.

Definitely recommend the brackets from Northcoach.

I made my own glass stand out of 3mm MDF and 12mm dowel
make a base out of two pieces of the 3mm mdf one with the holes cut in them spaced to suit the wine glass base and the other flat .
Glue these together .
Make another 3mm mdf for the top sectionwith holes cut to suit the top of the wine glass about two thirds the height of the wine glass.
Join these together with six pieces of dowel
Screw into the dowel from the top and the bottom of the mdf using small countersunk wood screws
Coat it with satin esterpol.
We have had ours for 10 years now never broken a glass.
Thust this helps.

I'm just very careful how i put it down if I need 2 hands to lift the cask.
Annee is not in to etiquette like me, she just necks the bottle, or if we have visitors, she gets out a straw.

I do however, understand the concepts you are all sharing;)

I find that i bit hard to steer and change gear at the same time.

Post Wine Glasses
Hi,
GerryP or Nola -

Would the 'glass rack holders' work ok for coffee cups ?

Don't want to order if they will only hold glasses .

Jill,i just went out to the van and tried a coffee cup (corelle) in the rack and it seemed to sit just fine.
Cheers,
