Re: Flying Our Flag.
I have the following sticker on both sides of my ute canopy; "IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT, LEAVE!" Also on it is an Australian flag. I am continually being asked where I got them, and in Coffs Harbour last month a lady said that if she can get one, her husband won't have to get a tattoo of it. The only supplier I know is via the Vietnam Veterans Associations website-does anyone know of another? glanyard

The old saying still counts: "When in Rome, do like the Romans". If you don't like our country or our flag or our way of living or our democracy or our freedom or our language than you're free to go elsewhere.

Flying Our Flag.
Funny, I never thought myself particularly patriotic but when I was at Chinderah Village Tourist Park one couple had two flags, a Scottish flag and an Aussie flag...but with the Scottish flag way higher than the Aussie one. It shouldn't have offended me... but funnily it did... They also had a sticker on their car "If it's nay Scottish, it's Cr*P" I talked and made friends with half the park...but didn't bother with them. I must be getting grumpy as I get older...

Re: Flying Our Flag.
I have a BIG flag for home, some for the car and one for the van, tell me to take it down and i'll tell you to go and get ...... well you get the message, I was born in Belgium, I was naturalised Auzzie, 5 years after getting here so that I could join the RAAF, I served for this country and will defend it and it's flag, I have no problem with people from other countrie (like myself) but if you come here, you should embrace everything Australia stands for, you have the right to practice your religion, culture, and beliefs, so do I, so don't tell me that I don't have the right to practice flying our flag, I have the right, just as you have the right to go home if you don't like it. OK off my soap box now, back to normal programing Frank

The flying of another countries flag at a higher station (level) than ours is a blatant insult, but then that would be typical of some of those from the UK. Smithfield Primary School in SA used to fly the Union Jack but that would have been because SA is a Pommie ghetto. glanyard

Re: Flying Our Flag.
I mount the flag on my annex in the same manner as BandB. The flag go's up when I set up camp and I take it down when a break camp. I started flying the flag on the van in 2003 when I did my first trip around the block. While doing so a meet up with a lot of international tourist that proudly displayed the flag from where they come from. So now I fly the flag because I am a proud Australian. Sid
