That's a lot of gear to make a slippery substance; just to smear on bedroom door handles!!!

hi all, a better,safer product is silicone grease i get it from the swimming pool shop. they use it for all the seals on filters and pumps.
i also use it on the rubber seal in my dometic toilet, it works a treat.

I rub talc powder on my window seals twice a year ,seems to do the trick Yours loub

I thought that vaseline and O rings were perfect mates.

When the kids were young we often used vaseline on the bedroom doorknob

Yes! Windows with pentyums and geraniums

The sales rep told me to to use silicon spray as this dos not colleced the dust.

They can be if made from a compatible material; Or used on the wrong substances will ruin it.
It always pays to try some out in a unseen area.
In my toilet system it is a no no.
