we spent a week at Lake Dyer just outside Laidley, arriving home last Tuesday week and then headed to Hong Kong for Easter.
Now I had 4 nets out in a very isolated region of the lake and I lost 1 net and the following day another net. Each time I checked the nets there were no Red claw. Some dirty B@#$%&d knocked off my nets and probably my catch.
I will purchase another 2 nets at $8 when we get back home for our winter trip to Cania Gorge etc.

Some really low life on the lake that week.

Well folks!!! the first thing one has to do is catch them.... I had 2 nets stolen and I venture to say ...so was my catch in the other two surviving nets when we camped at Lake Dyer near Laidley Qld.
My message to who it may concern the Mongerals who took my nets, I hope they get food poisoning from the catch.

Yabbies, craw-fish, maron, blue claw, freshwater prawns; I think they are all related.
Mr Google should be able to help you out with more information.

JayDee I missed you by two nights. I arrived at Lake Dyer on Thursday. The camp is managed by Donna And a Herb lovely couple.
Herbs people skills are not the best and he is aware of this so he lets Donna do all the dealing with visitors. If you ever have this problem again mention it to Donna. While it is not their problem This sort of thing really fires Herb up and he will be keep an extra eye out. And god help anybody he catches.

Redclaw by the thousands at Lake Boondooma at the moment. One guy even put his tinnie back on his vehicle he said he was catching 50/pot close to camp/shore and only managed 70 between 5 pots further up the lake. He thought he would save on the petrol and just set them close.

There were so many up for grabs, people were just giving them away. So no need for any pots :)

They say it is the same at Lake Barambah as well.

I agree with you, but once they are caught, they can't be released.
