Is anyone else have trouble getting the forum to load?
After problems I had came good a few weeks ago, over the past few days when I try and open the forum, about two times out of three nothing happens; just remains a blank white screen. On about one out of three tries, it loads up instantly.

Same here. In fact the site took forever to load, then pretty much stalled waiting for your thread to load. Gave up in the end and went elsewhere (Toyota Forum LCOOL).
When I tried just now it came up instantly and so did your thread. It's been doing this for quite a while now, probably since the last time the forum went down.

Re: Is anyone else have trouble getting the forum to load?
MH, I mentioned that issue here... viewtopic.php?p=166314#p166314Over time I have done some tests, being a Techo and I find the same issue with 4wdaction and I gather that is regarded as the premier site within the Express group. I also found it has been common that when our forum fails many of the sister sites at Express are also down. I speculate that the issue is bigger than just C&M Re slowness, perhaps 'Express' needs a name change to 'Dawdle'

Re: Is anyone else have trouble getting the forum to load?
Thanks OT, I had a look for a recent post to add to as I knew there had been one, but failed to find it. How do we know when the last outage was? The forum usually fails for me on Sunday afternoons. I am never sure what is a full outage and what is this intermittent failing to load issue. Edit: I tried again and this time tried the home page of http://www.candm.com.au/ as this is usually but not out of action in a forum out in a crash as well. This did not come up either. A bit of persistence and I got back here again.

Re: Is anyone else have trouble getting the forum to load?
MH, I may have mentioned before that I was keeping some notes on failures. The last genuine fail was on the morning of Nov 13th. The difference between a failure and a delay is the nature of the response. An actual outage will produce a 'general error' or maybe an 'sql database' type error if the site is still up but has issues. This is typical phpBB stuff used by most forums these days. When the site is actually down due to server issues then it may depend upon your browser what sort of response you get. Could be 'Oops site not found' as Google Chrome usually responds. I have found at times I can be in the middle of creating a post and doing a post review when the site seems to fail in that responses stop and the screen stays blank. A minute or so later it comes good when I refresh and my half finished post is still sitting there in review mode. Clearly this has not been a site failure or my still unsubmitted post would have been lost. Perhaps there is a union go-slow strike in progress

MH, an update.
This site and several other Express websites failed around 1130 Sunday and were not restored till around 0800 this morn.
