Re: FUEL SAVINGS TOWING A CARAVAN
Buy yourself a tinnie. With my rig (below) I get 10-15% improvement in fuel consumption with the tinnie on top and remember - You can't fish in a Whale Tail!!

Re: FUEL SAVINGS TOWING A CARAVAN
I am having a whale tail fitted and will be doing a test run before and after fitting, will be a week or so be for completion. Then a trip to Harvey Bay and return 5/8/11 so this will give a better idea of fuel saving. I drive a 100 series petrol cruiser.

This is yet to be painted. I intend to do some tests in the next couple of days and will have a better indication after 8/8/11 regarding fuel improvements.

Re: FUEL SAVINGS TOWING A CARAVAN
Sorry for not doing this sooner, the road test did not warrant the purchase price with the small saving on fuel so the tail was returned to the manufacturer.

There are also air flow tabs made for trucks but suitable for motorhomes and caravans, with the subsidiary value of acting as a dust deflector. http://www.airtab.com/nasa.html
