Hi Sambob,
Thanks for the effort.

 THE ONLY ISSUE THAT i HAVE WITH WHAT IS OVERALL A GREAT SITE CONTAINING VALUABLE INFORMATION AND COMMENT IS THE SIZE ALLOWANCE FOR YOUR PERSONAL AVATAR i AM A MEMBER OF A NUMBER OF SIMILAR FORUMS AND REALISTIC ALLOWANCE IS MADE ON THESE SITES FOR YOUR AVATAR, SO HOW ABOUT A LARGER ALLOWANCE ON THIS SITE :) :)

How big do you want your avatar?

When you say size, do you mean pixel dimension(w x h) or file size (kb)

My second best pose 23.6.11.jpg
I have reduced my pictures to pinhead size & they are still too big to be used as an avatar.

No problems with posting in the body of the text.

I gave up long ago because it is too hard despite it being explained on numerous occasions.

Forgive me but I am an absolute techno nuff nuff but some forums automatically reduce the size (whether that is pixel or dimensions??) to whatever is required.

I ask that nobody try to explain the process to me again because I will end up throwing the computer in the rubbish with frustration.

See what a fool you are dealing with

How about that.

You are right though... the avatar setting was too low. I have upped it to 20k.

I hope that the photo I have put as your avatar is the one you wanted. Let me know if it isnt.

Simon, I was going to say the Avatar size is already toooo big and makes short posts toooo long on the screen.

The Avatar display size is is limited to 100 pixels max 75 pixels min. I agree with upping the file size from 6 to 20 kb. In trying to meet the 6 kb limit the pic resolution was seriously degraded. So happy with 20 kb but no more than 100 pixels please.

Hi OT.... would think of upping the pixel dimension (there is only limited width to the side panel anyway.

But yes... 6kb is ridiculously small.

Sorry Simon,

It must be like dealing with a child. I have tried to change the avatar & can't because of the size.

If you would be so kind I have attached a couple of other photos & either would be fine. The dual cab is the most recent & relevant but I don't really care. I have tried to change the size of the pictures too as you can probably see.

If worse comes to worse, the existing avatar will do, if only I knew who that bloke is

Thanks again
