Re: Caravan shows
For your info. I notice that the Leisurefest Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Fishing show is on at Sandown Race Course Melbourne this weekend (30/9 to 3/10) and the weather is supposed to be good. I went last year and it was quite good. Regards Executive.

Re: Caravan shows
There is a caravan camping show on in Adelaide in late Feb. Actually my newly ordered outback basestation will be on display. Can’t wait to pick up and our first stop will be Port Victoria to catch up with a mate, is it a nice place.

Re: Caravan shows
Hi LiznLethal, When you are in a van anywhere is a nice place. Actually I have never been there so there will be nothing constructive from me.

Re: Caravan shows ALBURY WODONGA 26th – 28th Aug 2011
The Wodonga Caravan & Camping Expo is on right now and we went today it was fantastic, well worth going to, so if you are around this area, it’s a really good show, a credit to the organisers. We’ve been to others over the last few years in this area and this one is leaps and bounds better……..
Cheers

Re: Caravan shows
Ozjohn is spot on.
Would have thought that the major reason for Tassie missing out might be the attendance factor. The organisers rely on huge crowds to offset the cost of hiring venues, transporting vehicles, setting up marquees etc etc etc.
Getting across the Bass Straight is a massive consideration as well. The ferry fees are almost prohibitive these days.

Re: Caravan shows
Bev, Bev & Bev. For you and two heads. Think about it. You would be better served saving you shiny shells and pelts ( or whatever you use for currency) and flying to Melbourne or even Sydney for the BIG shows. Plan to spend 2 -3 days and you will see everything available to the RV’r. You literally have everything laid out for you and if you’re ready to spend some Australian currency ( we tend to use that up this way) you may score a great deal. There is no hope you would ever get anything like a big show in Tassie. Sorry, facts of life and all that. PS. I love Tasmania, and the locals
