Shepparton Welcomes Travellers with Inaugural RV Rally
The small but vibrant community in the heart of Victoria’s Goulburn Valley is making all right moves to welcome RVers to their beautiful slice of the southern state.
In the spirit of showcasing the region as an attractive and welcoming destination for RV travellers, a group of Shepparton business people and RV enthusiasts formed a voluntary organising committee to create a specialised event, specifically aimed at RV travellers - the Goulburn Valley RV Rally
The GV RV Rally to be held from September 2 to September 8 this year, is the result of this dedicated group of individuals and promises to be a fantastic first of its kind event for the region.
GV RV Rally Organising Committee Member, Morry McKellar said, “We want to demonstrate to RV enthusiasts across Australia that Shepparton is an RV friendly and a welcoming destination for visitors from all walks of life. We believe in our city and we want to grow and develop this event to become a permanent fixture on the RV travel calendar”.
GV RV Rally committee member and President of the Shepparton Agricultural Society, Lloyd Ohlin said, “We have had a fantastic amount of investment in Shepparton and in the Show ground facilities and we are proud to be able to host the GV RV Rally in September.
“As a long term member of the Shepparton community, I believe that we have a lot to offer and I’m really excited to be able to demonstrate this in a specialised first of its kind event here in Shepparton. We have a host of planned activities for our RV visitors to showcase our region’s heritage and what Shepparton is really all about.”
