Post VERY off topic but might interrest some here
Ive been a member of C&M's SISTER forum "4wd action" for some years.

I dont mention it here normally cause this is travel and outdoor lifestyle.

There ARE however MANY 4X4 freaks here,a percentage of those [however small] MIGHT like Modified ROAD vehicles.

This one guy named "Dave" bought a Written off Nissan dual cab,the body is fine only the chassis is insurance wise beyond repair.

SO,he bought it and THEN bought a Ford 250 V8 Turbo diesel complete chassis [also a write off BODY but chassis is good" From the USA and imported it here.

Obviousley,he had trouble mounting the nissan body to the BIGGER ford chassis.

He's a engineer and all the right tools,so,what started as a chassis MOD on the ford became a full blown home made chassis.

One thing led to another and the engineering has gone overboard.

He has manufactured parts with stunning outcome.

Now,so far ,this thread is 72 Pages LONG and its still not finished.

But if you want to see what one man can do at home in his garage and LOVE 4x4 then its a great read, full of updated pics.

Those critical of anything not factory made will soon get bored maybe.

Ok,ive kept you waiting long enough. Heres the link to the VERY thread start.

Interrestingly enough theres another thread of a guy with a Toyota Coaster hes converting to 4WD with a Cummins diesel transplant.

You do NOT need register if you wish to read these postings.

For those who enjoy engineering / fabricating ... ENJOY.

Cheers Rod

PS. I put a couple of posts in and one "hurry up" post as its been going for some years.I WISH i could remove my hurry up post as its uncalled for and i now feel ashamed i wrote it.
