Post Re: FORD RANGER ELECTRICS
HI
I have a 2008 ranger for work its a company car.

I did have a problem starting like turn the key to start and wait till it cranked over.

I changed to the spare key and put a little graphite powder in the ign slot and slid the key in and out a few times to get the powder into the barrel and its been going well now for 10 months..

Not sure if you have the same problem.

regards Craig

Not mutch detail to go on. They can have a problem of cranking but not starting, nothing to do with imobiliser.

The problem with the ranger is, when you turn the key it dosent do any thing, not even click, battery has been checked, the racv man pulled both battery terminals off and touched them together to reprogram the computer, then walked around the ute clicking the unlocker button then it started ,two days later stoped again would not start, called racv put it on a tilt tray took it to ford dealer, hasent been returned yet.
