Re: getting hi jacked by ads
i am convinced that the ads that take over the page are linked to this site when it happens the top bar retains the logo associated with c and m and the only way out is to hit the red x in top rh corner or i have just discovered you can go back to home page by clicking on the logo that is part of c and m address bar the company (or one of the companies ) that take over the page is http://www.glispa.com who a google search show as a major promotional/advertising company if this site is responsible for allowing these ads to hi jack the site i believe (no matter how niavely) it is up to them to rectifty the situation brian

Re: getting hi jacked by ads
Brian, this is not at all what I was getting. Whilst I have Avast running I get nothing but a warning that a threat was detected and averted. Without Avast then my URL is completely redirected to other sites and all reference to the forum is lost. I may finish up at ZigZagfones.com and they featured as an issue in the UK. I have not had any pop-up adverts. My experience is a complete hijack away from the CandM website to other promotional or sales sites. It is as if there is a website forwarding action occurring Avast report example... Infection Blocked URL: http://www.cpmservice3.com/js/show_ads.jsInfection: URL:Mal

Yes OT. I get the same message and I am using ESET Nod32 antivirus system. The message comes up every time I click onto a new forum message
Safe travels

Re: getting hi jacked by ads
I also have ESET which blocks the address. I am typing the message as I read. It says: "Address has been blocked. URL address: http:/www.cpmservice3.com/js/show_ads.js IP address: 212.124.112.228"
It has been happening for 2 or 3 weeks now.

Re: getting hi jacked by ads
I used to get the malware alert referred to by OT until I turned on ADBLOCK in Firefox. Now there's none.

Re: getting hi jacked by ads
I mentioned in another topic that I reported this matter to the Tech guys and I have been waiting for an explanation. I have been informed that there was a dodgy advert that was causing the malicious redirects. It was disabled on the weekend and there shouldn’t be any more issues in that regard.
Cheers
