Post problems since the crash
Is anyone having problems since the last forum crash?

I have to log in each visit, even if I leave the page open and go to another forum or do some surfing for a while, come back and have to log in again, it's getting ridiculous, I've logged in 3 times tonight.

Frank

I haven't experience any problems since the crash.

But Hey! Give it a week or so and it'll probably go down again.
Unfortunately when it does crash it's usually a weekend so there is no Admin to get it back online.
The excuse for the last crash was that their whole system went down. OK, I'll buy that, but what about the countless other times when just the forum has gone down?

G'day Frank,

Is your 'keep me logged in box' ticked? I found mine wasn't and I don't know if that was coz of the crash or coz I have been absent in 'no signal land'.

The first time I logged in here at the Isa it wasn't long before I was logged off. I have no idea what the log-off timeout is but it didn't seem very many minutes. When I logged in again I noticed the box wasn't ticked. It always remains ticked but not this time.

If that's not your problem then maybe the system is sending you a subtle message that it doesn't want your business

Hi all, the problem that I now have since the latest crash is that when I open a thread to read and then exit it I have to click on the left pointing "back" arrow 2 or sometimes 3 times to get back to the topic list.

G'day Wombat,

Not sure what you mean by exiting

How do you exit?

When I have finished reading through a topic I just click on View new posts to get back to the current list of topics.

Hi Old Techo, what I mean is that when I have finished reading through a topic, I have always just clicked on the "back arrow button" (windows explorer_top left of screen). Since the server problems that caused the site to crash I now have to click on the back button 2 or 3 times to back out of a topic and the results are unpredictable because I can end up further back than I intended.
