Post Post notifications
It seems that I am not getting any notification of posts to which I have contributed. I have checked my profile and there are many posts listed as 'watched'. My board preferences also allow email contacts etc., so not too sure what the issue is.

I reported this many moons ago, almost in a previous life :???: , when the same thing was happening. To my knowledge it has never been fixed and still appears not to be happening.

Is it me, is it the system, or am I slow in getting the message  ?

Ta
Gerry

Through the lack of responses, I assume this is not a common problem among the troops here.

How does one attract an admin member to check on this for me or advise as to what my issue might be?

Hi Gerry

This was brought to the attention of Admins in a thread not so long ago and the Admin who responded was going to get Techs to look into it.

As an experiment i have ticked "notify me when a reply is posted" so if you reply i will see what happens this time. This option is only available when i make a reply. On another .php forum i can "subscribe topic" whether i have contributed or not. I only want to select certain threads for a short time, not all threads i contribute to or i would get way too much mail.

G'day Gerry,
look at the members board for the member Nimda (written in green) and send his a PM, he does lookin on the forum but I'm not sure if it's daily or if he reads every thread, a PM will be the best

Hi GerryP
We already have a thread running on the issue. This as current as possible , if you have not already found it.

I have tried Subscribing Topic here on a specific thread but am not getting notifications. This method does work on a different .php forum.

MH, this issue goes back at least 2 years... viewtopic.php?p=106634#p106634

It began with a server upgrade and has never been right since. I gave up complaining. It is quite rare for me to get an email notification about anything, except of course the mag subscription advertising that is always reliable :(

Same here , I used to get notified of all new posts etc and then nothing. Some time an escapee gets through and that's about it.
The should call it the no tech department. :D
