Bushy Parker Park Free-camp.
This is a place I can't wait to re-visit and stay a couple of days. Only visited for a few hours rest first time, on the way home from Cairns. It's south of Townsville.
Sorry folks, I still can't figure out how to post pics.
Cheers, xina.

Hi Xina. Are you referring to Bushy Park North of Townsville? Used to be know as Rollingstone as the town name is. Lovely spot but too many know about it now and it gets a bit crowded. Regards Chris

Have been having a few problems getting used to the new format, among other things, and not being able to post shots as well. Not having a good intro to this site at all. Never mind. Thank goodness Chris. knew where I was talking about. You've got to admit it's a lovely spot. Thanks Chris, Cheers, xina.

Hi Frank and Brenda. I've tried to use Photobucket before, but just can't master it. I find it much easier when there is an attatchment thingy to follow.
Cheers, xina.

Who is familiar with Isisford south of Barcaldine? The free camping there is supposed to be great. Love to hear from anyone who has been there and perhaps a photo or two. Does it get crowded? Are there facilities nearby?

Re: Bushy Parker Park Free-camp.
We stayed at Isisford 2 years ago and it was good, plenty of room on the banks of the Barcoo. There is water there as well as toilets and a dump point. You can walk up to the town and in the park there are showers which you have to pay for but is was a gold coin from memory. The town itself is slowly dying but you will enjoy the area, we stayed for 4 days and did day trips from there.

Here's a couple we've enjoyed - St Lawrence between Mackay & Rocky (Camps Oz # 88) is a good spot, & showers too (for a fee). This year we stopped overnight at the Binjour Range rest area between Mundubbera and Gayndah & that was good. Calliope is good too but always crowded.

Never been there, but here's a couple of pics I found on google images: not sure if this one is of the same place, but it's titled the same: I hope these were the ones you were talking about!

That's the one Motormouse. I finally managed to get some shots on Photobucket. Now all I have to do is figure out how to Post them. Cheers, xina. Nope, Can't work out how to do it. I'm just about ready to Scream. Attatchments are a hell of a lot easier. Have now wasted over 1 1/2 hours, trying to post Photos from Photobucket. Can some-one Please walk me through it step by step ? Have tried following some instructions on here, but still no use. Thanks, xina.
