Post Adjustable antenna mast head
Hi all
This may be of interest to those that what to make changing the polarity of their antenna easier.
The adjustable knuckle is off an old beach umbrella, I just cut the knuckle out including about 15cm of the timber shaft either side and sheathed them with some conduit sealing the cut ends with silastic to keep the water out, this made a very strong and tight fit into the antenna mast and also a better size for the antenna clamp.

Hey Bev go for it, I bought the beach umbrella from a garage sale for $3.00, another thing that may be of interest:
The pole I purchased from a pool and spar shop, extends from 6' to 12', normally used for a pool cleaner, cost $39.95, the local caravan shop wanted $69.95 for one of similar length and a smaller diameter.

I reckon that your clever construction could be used to hold a small, lightweight satellite dish as well - using the adjustable section to adjust the elevation necessary.

Cheers.

Hi Teg,
I reckon that's pretty good as well.
I might just leave the umbrella frame on in my case, It couldn't be any a worse picture than I already have,I have a Winegard.
