We tried muffins yesterday (gave those a thumbs up!) and today we're having a shot at the pork.
We like our veg not-too-soggy so I might put those in a bit later. I assume I'll have to switch off the oven to raise the lid and add stuff? (Bit of a learning curve here.) Then do I have to put in the time again or does it remember where it was up to?
Of course, I can just play around with it and see what works!

With mine I have to lift the handle to open it and that turns it off.The timer stays set and just picks up from were it was when I opened the lid

We keep it simple. Camp Kitchen when in van parks. Cobb Cooker when we want a roast. Otherwise electric fry pan or one of those $20 butane stoves. Use the van stove for toast and coffee. We like to be outside as much as possible.

Post Re Tuna Casserole
Hi Milo,

Yes, you can cook a Tuna Casserole in a Turbo Oven.

Post Re: No Oven In Your Van - Try These
As I am a newbie to the forum I have been reading through the posts of a lot of topics to get ideas for our van.

I came across the topic on Turbo Ovens and have been thinking of getting one as my other half loves his baked dinners and especially pork. What size do you recommend for just the two of us.? I have been looking on Ebay and have discovered they come in different litre sizes. I dont want to buy one that is too small or too large. I have been taking our old (40yrs old) electric frypan to cook baked dinners in but do I really need to take it too. Baz loves to cook too so he is interested as well.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this

Pam

I don't know what size ours is but make sure you get one with the silver extender ring on top. It allows you to fit bigger roasts etc in.

Tassie D,
Now I'm very confused.
How does a metal ring make a glass oven expand to take a bigger roast?
Will the same metal ring stretch my caravan too?
