Post No Oven In Your Van - Try One Of These
Hi there,

No oven in your van?

Try a Convection Oven (Turbo Oven), we have one & it's great when 240 volts is available.

Cook & bake outside, no smells in the van & very easy to clean.

Aldi has them on special from Thursday 27 May 2010 for $39-99, see the link below.

http://aldi.com.au:80/au/html/offers/2827_13597.htm?WT.mc_id=2010-05-20-08-35

A tip, place the oven on a tray or piece of board, as the feet can damage the cupboard shelf due to jumping up & down on bumpy roads.

They are fantastic. I've had mine for about 12 months, not the some brand, cost $69. I have not used my home oven since I got it. Great for roast meat and vegies, pastries cakes etc

We always travel with our portable oven.
Have some real good roasts done to perfection and all cooked outside.

Yes these ovens are terrific, we bought one a couple of years ago for our other van with no oven & love it so much the house oven rarely gets used any more. I often cook outside at home in the hot weather & agree that the pork crackle is just superb, I'm not crash hot with scones though :(

Our new van does have an oven which will more than likely hardly ever be used. The turbo oven is also packed ready to go. I recently bought a second one & paid $69.95 so the one at Aldi is a real bargain

I've been looking out for one of these... almost bought one at Good Guys last week, but the smallest size was $99, so I'm glad I waited!
I'll be at Aldi's door at 9.00 on Thursday to snap one up.
Anyone got a surefire recipe we can try?
Someone told me that they buy the flexible muffin pans and cut the corners off, then they fit perfectly in the turbo oven.
All tips welcome...
Marg :-)

I prefer a good merlot myself!

Oh, and Mayswa,
I believe yes, we are talking about the round glass turbo cookers!
