Post pic of the van.
Hi All,

I thought I would send through a photo of my van as I promised a couple weeks back. Its a Roadstar Dreamtime 21'6" raised 50mm. Bought it to go off the black top now and then. Has same inerchangable wheels as my Patrol (less spares to carry). I figure car and van total 8 whells, carry 3 spare for big trips. We have had since new, had it with us for 18 months at home. Just love travelling with it. So far small one week trips. Can't wait to see more of Oz as the years go by. Thinking about putting on some solar panels, already has wiring for it, but no hurry, will do for when ready for retiring and use it more so.

Post Nice Lookin' Setup!!
G'day bobldoo.

We agree, nice lookin' setup, good size van, good ground clearance and if I'm not mistaken, it looks like you can still open both rear doors on the Patrol.

Can you give us a better close up or explanation of how you did this, if indeed it is the case.

Best regards, Dawn & Lance.

Hi Doug and Jane

For me..Working links were set on 9 but found ride a bit harsh up the front so dropped 1 link to 10..with a variation 0f 10mm, I guess a bit of trial and error to see what suites your setup..

Setup on LC200 with 22'6 Off road loaded with 240L Water

I measured from ground to start of rear guard .

900mm unhitched
860mm Hitched 9 links
850mm Hitched 10 links

However I have used van very little so will trial as I go along.

yes it took me a while to organise that TV aerial. Now I just have to work out how to fold it down. LOL.
With regard to being able to open my rear Patrol doors with van hooked up - that is only due to the raised suspension I have on the Patrol. It was a fluke. In turn the tow ball height was lower. Worked out well.
Re the number of links on the WDH - I really only have done it from new where I use the 4th link from the (loose) end. Tried 3 but not enough load taken up.
