Post Another Newie -Coromal or Windsor
Hi guys,

I have been reading all of your comments and thought I would join in. I have found so much useful information I thought I would throw out there a question......

We are looking at purchasing our first van for our family, we are a family with 2 young children and love getting away for short breaks. I am after a light weight van so I can tow it when my husband can't join me.

I have looked at Coromal excel and Windsor Genesis and like both, has anyone got any feedback or advice they can offer on these or purchasing in general. I thought I would look at second hand as you seem to get lots of extra's.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Do you wish to stop at free camps areas on shortrips or in parks. Make sure if you are free camping that your future van has the capacity when no 240volt is available. Your are a courages lady. good on you.

I had noticed some that had battery packs so I will make sure I get this option. Good idea.

Not just a battery pack Gilligan but also the facility to recharge it.

Depending on how long you are going to camp out and what 12 volt appliances etc you are going to run will be the determining factor as to how long your battery/ies will last.

Also will you have a shower/toilet on board??

I often camp on my own and have been doing so for many years and you will enjoy the experience. There are many solo travellers/campers these days and you will also have the children to share your experiences with.

Give them their own little chores as well so that they too feel that they are contributing. It will be a great adventure for all of you.
