Post Managing Retirement.
Thought that I would start a new thread on the above.
One of the most committed tasks that I have undertaken in my life is ensuring that I make a success of retirement.
However it is disappointing that I do not get any holiday pay and therefore no leave loading ...bummer.
Plus the other thing with retirement is that I never get a day off.
But on the upside is that we have all the freedom in the world to do what we want to and when.
Maybe some of you would like to had a comment or to like .....

Be nice to your kids... as they will most likely choose you nursing home.

Cheers

Jay&Dee

Retirement is 15 days away for me and one goal I have is reaching the intersection....and tossing a coin to see which way I turn.

Post Managing Retirement.
Delar,

I retired on December 10th last year, I turned 60 in October.

The retirement lasted until Easter this year, I was contacted by a company to give them a hand on a project.

I am working 4 days a week, leaving Fridays for golf.

I don't know if the project will last too much longer, we are sneeking away at the end of the month to go to the camp oven festival, then we hope to get away for 3 weeks in November.

The money is handy to supplement the Super, but it sure restricts the time away in the van.

Retirement... Two years, one term, one week and two days... but who's counting?

Reading, scrapbooking, sleeping in, gardening, doing nothing and then do it all again and again and again.

Two years, one term, one week and two days!
