While you are in Grafton, have a look around. The Crown Hotel above the river has photos (if they are still there) of the flooding in the area. The Jacaranda trees are a sight when flowering at the end of Oct/Nov. Opposite the Crown Hotel in the river is Susan Island which is home to flying foxes. At sunset, they take to the skies in the millions.
