At Stockton Beach Tourist Park, you’re so close to the patrolled beach you could practically set up there. Sites are hidden behind the vegetated sand dunes for protection and they’re just a hop, skip and step away from a lucky fishing spot or that perfect wave.

Being so close to the beach, you might not want to leave, after all Stockton Beach has some of the biggest legally drivable sand dunes if you have a 4WD and a permit. But it’s also just a ferry and five minutes walk away from Newcastle’s CBD meaning it won’t be to difficult to go and explore. There’s the Newcastle museum, historic Fort Scratchley, plenty of walks and cycleways to explore, especially in the neighbouring Kooragang Wetlands. See cute creatures at Blackbutt Reserve or at Oakvale Farm and Fauna World.

Stockton Beach Tourist Park has modern, clean amenity blocks, spacious camp kitchen with covered eating area, three outdoor electric BBQ areas and open grounds. There is a playground for the kids and a kiosk/café that offers breakfast and lunch or a coffee. The Park also has free wireless internet and a dump point and whilst it doesn’t have its own pool it offers free access to the adjacent Stockton Swimming Centre which has a full size Olympic pool and a kiddies pool with plenty of shade.

There is a boat ramp at the southern end of the park and a patrolled beach at the Northern end.  The Park Office offers a free internet kiosk and a friendly face to give you plenty of local information.

The sites at Stockton Beach Tourist Park are large and roomy, giving you plenty of space between you and your neighbour. The sites are all in close range to the facilities and the beach and are available in powered van sites and powered and unpowered tent sites. There are also cabins to choose from. Bunkhouse cabins can sleep six people and come with a kitchenette. The other cabins, including a special access one, can sleep between four to six people and include a kitchen, shower and toilet.

Whether you want to hide away for a relaxing holiday or explore the area, Stockton Beach Tourist Park is for you.
