Re: Prostate issues.
I have had 3 bladder infections in the last year, so my GP decided to send me for an ultrasound, it showed that i have a slightly enlarged prostate.
So she sent me to a urologist, he explained that it could stop me from emptying my bladder and that could cause the infections.
He put me on something called Duodart that supposes, over time, to reduce the size of my prostate.

Have anyone tried this, it has a few side effects that i hope i can handle.

Re: Prostate issues.
Get an MRI as they are pretty good now at finding suspicious areas. I have had about 6 biopisies many “updates” and two MRI’s which has left me with a hole in my wallet and a hot arse from the MRI machine with nothing found.Lance wrote:I guess Prostate issues are one of the most concerning health problems for us blokes.
I am currently on a watch and wait regime with my Urologist
PSAs have varied over the last 4yrs from 4 to 13 and have recently settled at about 10.
My Dr suggests it’s not a major concern but obviously he wants to keep an eye on it.
I’m not due back to see him again till Oct this year.
I’m happy with that at this stage.

Re: Prostate issues.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he suggests an MRI at the October appointment.
We’ll see what happens I imagine.
That ‘Duodart’ that Hans mentioned sounds interesting, I’ll throw that at my bloke when I see him.

Re: Prostate issues.
I have been taking Duodart even since it came on to the $6??? price list.
It has made a huge difference to the urine flow during my toilet visits at night.
My Doc says that the last PSA was excellent. Here’s hoping.
