Hi all,
Could someone that has recently done the Tassie trip (daytime crossing preferably) we would like to know if you found parking nearby or onsite for the night prior to leaving in the morning please???
We have read most of all the posting but just wondering if someone has an update please.

We are going to Tassie on the Spirit on the 21st January and we are travelling from Brisbane, we have elected to stay at the Coburb Caravan Park as some friends from Tassie stayed there also as it is easy to get to the terminal from there. I contacted the caravan park and they are going to allow us to stay there until later in the day because of our late departure. We wont be staying on a site but they have a place for us to park the van. It is better than wondering around Melbourne all day and we cant board until 7pm as our ship doesn’t leave until 9pm.

Hi we have stayed at Ashley gardens a few times which is a nice easy run to station pier early in the mornings .also we have done the overnight trip and have been able to leave our van at the park in a parking bay until late. Doing this gives us another day to have a look around before we go home without having to worry about dragging the van around all day.
