The oz pig is $300 in Perth. Way too much for me. This one only cost me $16 and that was for the paint.

And even better you can say “I made that” home made is always better, I might even say better than mine……………………….na only kidding, :) :) :) :)

Hi to all my first message to this site re the choofers. I raninto some people near Yeppon Qld who had a good looking choofer (didnt get a picture) in their travels when going past any pine trees they filled up a bag with pine cones cheap fuel.

They don’t store them anywhere, they put them to work.
Wack wheels on them and you have a steam driven caravan.

DIY Stainless Choofer

G’day everyone,

After looking at all the great home built BBQ/Choofer combos I thought I’d share my creation.

I wanted an all in one BBQ on holidays that I could cook everything from bangers, smoking fish or a Tom Cruise roast on either bottle gas or wood/heat beads.
It also had to be big enough to cook for my family and visitors whithout being too heavy or bulky, easy to clean and store on the van when travelling.

It was a 60 ltr fire surpression cylinder. (316 stainless)
The plate is made from 5mm 304 stainless.
The legs screw off and fit inside for transport and the burner tubes slide out for wood/heat bead operation.
Slightly bigger in diameter to a 9kg gas bottle it goes on the A frame in the seccond gas bottle cradle for transport.

Not the flashest looking but it cooks great.
