For a HR or HC (after having held an MR or HR for the prerequisite time period) with some experience in road ranger gear boxes OR getting a license with an Automatic/Syncromesh restriction allow around $1500 and 2 days
There are schemes to assist the unemployed with cheap/free license to assist them in gaining paid employment
My son has MR and has just payed to do his HC $2,475.00 and 2 days

License is for 10 years and last time cost me $240
I have HR (to drive a school bus) but the fee is regardless of class, but because I take regular medication I must pass a physical each year, $145 not covered by medicare.
I also have to see a cardiologist every year and have to undergo a stress echo test which this year showed an irregularity and I had to have an angiogram (all clear BTW) luckily the Cardiologist puts that through bulk bill otherwise I would have been up for over $3000 this year
Then every 3 years we also have to get a DFC clearance ($75) but because I am on medication mine is done Yearly $45
One wonders whether it’s all worth wile just to have a part time job??
