Hi members. We have a potential issue when a member changes their personal email address at some point after they have registered on the forum. This only becomes a forum problem if their old email address no longer works.

We may change our personal email address for various reasons and often because we change internet service providers. If you do this the forum email address needs to be updated otherwise system generated responses will be bounced. You will no longer receive the activity notifications you have chosen. We may need to contact a member.

Another possibility is a personal email account may be temporarily suspended or over quota. Without a working email address we cannot alert a member to the issue. Private Messages have sometimes been sent but not read as the member seems unaware of a PM. We considered alternatives and this seems to be the only one. So the purpose of this locked and sticky post (appears first in all places) is to try to notify any member with an invalid email address so they become aware of the issue. When there are no members outstanding the post will be set non-sticky.
