Re: Van levelling calculator
OT….perhaps the best thing would be for you to download the free app: Caravan Leveler Free Edition.
I am guessing that the figures I provided were degrees ?
After reading the instructions…..it does say that you need to do a calibration in or on your van.
Mine is in bed and not coming out for another month or so.
Cheers

Re: Van levelling calculator
Hi OT, JR and Co. ,
When I checked my van fridge, the floor (bottom of the fridge at the front) is slightly curved for what I assume is to allow drainage.
Levelling the van front to back is relatively easy via the jockey wheel / trail-a-mate.
Side to side is the harder level as it is done when you arrive and setup. So a simple T type spirit level on the draw bar is all I use and just by my judgement I normally get it level within 2 attempts and I am happy with that.
Cheers

I think this is an assumption or maybe specific to your brand of fridge.Just inside the bottom of the fridge (at the front) should be a true indication of the attitude of the whole fridge cabinet.

It dosen’t matter, if I say it’s level one way, my wife will argue it’s not.

Muzz, I said I was ‘not sure’ about using the freezer. Yes, it is an assumption that the freezer will be fitted true and square within the fridge cabinet and that the bottom of the fridge fairly represents the attitude of the entire cabinet and its angle-critical plumbing.muzz_on_line wrote:I think this is an assumption or maybe specific to your brand of fridge.Just inside the bottom of the fridge (at the front) should be a true indication of the attitude of the whole fridge cabinet.

My fridge is the very common Dometic and my model 2553 is flat across the bottom ledge.

Re: Van levelling calculator
I am with OT on the leveling blocks out of wood.
That bis with using a phone is total BS. but a larger panel might be ok. I just tried three different phones and every one of them got totally squashed. Mind you the Apple ones might be stronger.

This might seem like over kill but the blocks are handy for driving the rear tyres of the truck on as well. It is some times necessary on hilly sites.
