Free Camps C and M 236

Post by glanyard » Mon Aug 22, 2016 11:55 am

Fred has written an article covering the Mornington Peninsula that includes free camps and on page 25 there is a list of four “Free Camps”. With the costs of those camps varying between $14 and $26.50, I don’t see how they can be considered free?
The two $14 ones could be “Freedom Camps” but the other two certainly are not even that.

Maybe it’s a nomenclature issue.
Maybe cheap camps? If power or water is included they are exceptionally cheap.

When I look at other sources I cant locate a free camp on the Mornington Peninsular…
Its a very Cliquey place from memory, we tried to get into a park near Rosebud once and were asked if we had been there before and when I said we hadn’t I was told that “No New Campers” were being taken at that time…

Three have showers and all have toilets.
No matter what; they are not free camps.

They know that “free” on the cover of a magazine sells the magazine. What is inside does not match.
