I got a price to make up my warning sticker for my Gas outlet that is under evaluation and got a surprise. $10.50 as it’s a 1 off and they had to do something with the artwork (despite me saying they can have the artwork in whatever format they need) and No I do not want 1000…
Hunting around I found DIY laser printable Vinyl in A4 sheets and as I have a colour Laser printer ($69 @ Officeworks) I thought I’d get some and DIMS…. Weird though its cheaper to buy it form the UK and post it than it is to buy it locally….
The results are rather good the Vinyl has an outdoor life of around 3-5 year and is UV resistant and anyway by that time the rules will have changed and I’ll need another warning lable….
There were a few others I needed to replace the waterslide decals I had previously used…

TT, the vinyl may be UV resistant but my laser printer toner is not as the black printed/laminated labels I made and fitted outside faded badly in just a few weeksTramcarTrev wrote:The results are rather good the Vinyl has an outdoor life of around 3-5 year and is UV resistant and anyway by that time the rules will have changed and I’ll need another warning lable….

Re: DIY Vinyl Lables
The toner I used seems to be quite good. I made up some labels on photo paper and laminated them. They are not quite as good as new 3 years later. I bought it via ebay.
I will see what happens with the vinyl.
