Not that there is any thing wrong with a bit of heat in the morning to take the chill of the air. After all we do use the stove for quite a while when cooking with no problems.
The thing is with the authorities, that they realise cooking is ok as we watch the stove when cooking and control the thing.
This is not the same as putting a stove on and then hopping back to bed for a “few minutes” and then drifting off to sleep again. And even that is not so bad….. Its when those few minutes turn to hours that we get into problems.
As peter Said the incomplete combustion of gas under a terracotta pot would be the thing to watch, even though that has to be proven to what extent complete (in combustion) occurs.

I have to say that if you are carting along the kids or grand kids , they are almost twice as suseptable to getting gassed as an adult.
It sure depends on how much cold weather camping you do but a good friend and I went for around 7 weeks to Tassie, his was an oil heater and mine runs on gas. Both worked as well as each other and if gas is a problem to purchase so is diesel and we both had no problems.
