Re: making friends
Hi PK,
We just find saying good-aye works for us, and if people want to be social they will respond in kind.
We have found it while traveling, and meeting people on C/PS, or Free-camping, that some carry business cards, to which you exchange
IE:: Email, Ph Number, your town and state of origin, if u wish, some have gone to a great deal of effort with there Van and Tug set as a back ground on these cards.
Note, not advisable to put your address on it??, We receive emails from a wide variety of fellow travelers, Even though in one case we spent one pleasant evening around a camp fire with one couple and we now regularly send and receive emails now.
Some other friends we have mete on our travels will ring when close to our home base, then we will then meet for a coffee or lunch in town, This way we control who no,s what about our private residents and personal affairs.
Look for the local attractions that locals would attend, IE::live shows within the town, local sporting events. And Say Good-Aye lol
Most travelers want to communicate, Join in, enjoy other people and there different experiences and adventures, Say Good-Aye lol
Well thats just a couple of thoughts, lam quiet sure there will be plenty of other good ones too.
Regards Kev & Pam

Re: making friends
Visit local clubs that interst you. Better still, join one. Wherever we've lived or stayed for a while we've always been welcomed to clubs and made friends with members. Being an old surf life saver we can visit and make friends anywhere around the coast. Lawn Bowls clubs are another good place to meet people if you're into bowls, but most other clubs are just as inviting. Best of luck, ozjohn.
