Post Re: Bush Medicine
A few decades back, a friend of mine was working as a school teacher in a remote village in the backblocks of India. He took a stroll one afternoon along a track and ended up quite some distance away from the village and when he started to return he had a feeling that he was being followed by someone or something. He looked back a few times but there was no sign of anybody or anything so he just continued on his way.

It wasn't until he had almost reached the village and a person coming towards him pointed and shouted and when he turned and looked back, there was a full grown leopard on the track only a couple of metres behind him. Tracks indicated that it had been following him for more than a kilometre.

"What did you do" I asked.

"What most people would do" he replied, "I shat my pants, and I mean I really shat my pants, it scared the crap out of me."

SD,

I think my friend's father would most likely have said " I fouled my breeches old chap" - I remember him as a very "pucka English gentleman" who had this old British Raj atmosphere about him. The family had spent a lot of time in India prior to coming to the land of Oz.
