Just a quick camp report on a recent trip. All camps are from camps four. If you have another version the camp numbers may not be the same.
QLD: Camp110 Washpool Camping Reserve. Great spot west of Warwick. Plenty of fireplaces. $8.50 per person per night. Extra $2.00 if you want power. There is only one power pole so it gets a bit cozy around the pole if you need it.
NSW: Moree we stayed at the Gwydir CP. We always stay there and make use of the hot thermal pools while we catch up on the washing, empty the dunny and fill the tanks. Camp305 Red bank rest area. Good overnight spot. Close to the road but traffic was light. The Local Hotel had a sign offering meals, showers and free parking behind the pub as well. We wanted to stay at Lake Keepit but it was noisy due to the dam upgrade work. Camp843 Forbes Lions Park we were unable to stay as it is now day only. Camp831 Terramungamine Reserve. Another good spot beside a river. You need to be in by 300pm to get the good spots. At least twenty vans the night we were there. Camp859 Grong Grong Park. A good overnight stop. Block back from the highway. Park on the side of the road beside the park. Again the local Royal Hotel had a sign offering meals, showers and free parking behind the pub as well. Camp 859 Mirrool Royal Hotel. We didn’t stay there but had a look. Good safe spot back from the highway.
Vic. We stayed at Goulburn River CP at Seymore. And a CP Nagambie Recreation Centre. I don’t remember the name of the park. I believe it was built by the people that own Jayco. It is on the side lake. And very picturesque. The facilities are very good. The camp kitchen and BBQ are beside the lake. Great spot for a group happy hour.
