Will those with current subscriptions be honoured until they run out?

It is sad too see what will inevitably soon be the end of printed magazines. Paper costs in Australia have rocketed over the past few years, and advt revenue has diminished. Further, postage costs continue to rise.

Collyn
Yep Collin, but that doesn’t explain the demise of the Digital Version.

I would imaging that it would be produced to print the hard copy from the newsagents.
Indeed!

The processes for digital and print are virtually identical. The main difference is that print requires so-called pix to be saved as so-called CMYK and digital as RGB, also that print needs saving at higher definition – but both take next to no time to do.

I suspect it may be that a competitor is so hugely successful that advt revenue is falling too low to make it all worthwhile.

I cannot discuss this in any more depth without bending forum rules – except to say that I still use both formats but (sadly) see digital as the future.

Collyn
The problem is not what people do not know, it is what they think they know that simply isn’t true.

I also have outstanding subscription copies and would like an answer to this question.
I’m certainly not going to subscribe to the online version and stand the chance of being burgled twice.
This may sound a bit mercenary but if the shoe were on the other foot they would cut my subscription off.
Regards.
Keith.

Hi Members. A timely enquiry Keith as late today we received this advice about subscriptions extending beyond the last magazine, being number 270 in February. I hope this puts minds to rest.

A letter will be sent out with the next issue to explain what will be happening. Anyone with remaining issues will be refunded if there is a refundable amount.

Cheers

Sad to see it go.

Not sure how many will pay $10 to get it from the Newsagent?

Wondered what was happening when Marg disappeared from the Mag.

Cheers,
