thetrailer is made by TUNDARY (engineering I think) up Gawler way, they make all sorts of farm machinery etc to order and the van was built by Gawler caravans (although they are not builders, they usually only do repairs)

they have pictures of the suspension in the van and I asked if I could take a picture

it is all controlled by an air compressor and tank under one or the benches, this van could easily be addapted to a touring/holiday van for disabled people

I saw a Roadstar a few years back that was custom made for a person in a wheel chair. They featured another one in the mag a few years back as well. So there are a few on the road.

Yes, a few different brands have been build wheel chair accessible as one-offs. I have been unable to obtain photos of the different brands. There is one person, in a wheelchair himself, who produces wheel chair suitable vans and I have a page of photos of one of these in the travelling with a disability section of my website.

When we went looking for a pre-loved Bushtracker in 2004, there were very few on the market. One of the two we found on the market had been built fully wheelchair accessible including the full sized bathroom, but it was too heavy for our Patrol to tow. If we'd had the F250 then, we would have chosen it.

Good post,Frank,
You don't know what's out there sometimes.
I had a van next to me in Longreach and it belonged to a young couple that bought it off a horsey lady.
The back end was a ramp and the horse had the wheel-axle strength area to itself whilst the owner had a flat forward.
A great set up and the horse could watch you have a shower. :) All very clever. about 20' long.
The young bloke and the missus and three year old. Just wonderful Queens-landers. ( different to the ones on the forum of coarse) :)
They went every where on a Quad bike and it went in the back no problem

I thought of them with your post as it would make a great wheelchair access as well. :)
And no mods required.
