Option RV Caravan
Can anyone give me there thoughts on a 2012 Option RV Tornado? Any comments would be appreciated. Thinking of looking at one to purchase.

Re: Option RV Caravan
Hi dieseltojo, thanks, yeh did read that but was just wondering if anyone else had anything to do with them. There doesn't seem to be many on the market so don't know if that's a good thing or not. Have Googled the brand and any reviews but not much info out there.

Re: Option RV Caravan
Option RV built a lot of the Humpback caravans for the mob in S.A. but I believe that they build their own now according to their advertising. Doug

Re: Option RV Caravan
Thanks all, had a look at one today. Not over impressed. Very small ensuit, entry to the shower is very narrow for a big man, even the wife said it was too small. The cupboard hinges are very tiny so don't think they would last too long. I will just keep looking, bride would like single beds as well.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Option RV Caravan
Hi OGF,
Our brother n sis in law have one of theses vans. They had theirs built, changing length to 20 ' 6. & other things. This was 18 months ago. Didn't use the van at all for first 11 & 1/2 months. We said they should have done a shakedown trip but no they didn't. Left Brissy & got to us @ Emerald. Had to get a plumber out ( under warranty) had a gas leak ( fittings not done up) water pump constantly running though no water coming out....replaced. Tap on draw bar broke off in his hand 1st time using. Only small things but.......the biggest of all........got to Darwin & the 1st storm they had water pooled on the awning...huge tear which buckled the barrel also the legs. Insurance assessor came out & promptly discovered not only this damage but where the awning was fixed to caravan, no bracing underneath which has caused the aluminium sheeting to come away from the framework. All up approx $10k damage which is not under warranty & they have to bring the van back to Brisbane to be repaired. Not sure if they've just had bad luck...?????
Cheers Tracey

Re: Option RV Caravan
Thanks carasmar, As I said above, I did have a look at one a couple of weeks ago and wasn't all that impressed. More likely will wait until the Brisbane Show and have a look around for a deal there, not sure yet. Tahnks anyway for your comment.
