Opal caravans.
Does anyone know about Opal Caravans. I believe the people who make them have been associated with other makes in the past. Any information anyone has on this brand would be most helpful in assisting me in making up my mind

Re: Opal caravans.
They are flat packed from China and assembled in Australia.
Initially they apparently had some problems but in the past 24 months are getting a better reputation.
The owners I have talked to are very happy with the van and the after sales service.
I make a point of seeking out and talking to owners of imported or not so popular "interesting" vans.
Like all vans, you will get the knockers who believe that anything made overseas is "not suitable for Australian conditions."

Re: Opal caravans.
The caravan I am referring to is manufactured in Victoria (Aust). They have agents in every state of Australia.

Re: Opal caravans.
My apologies, I was getting confused with Opalite.
I was interested to see a number of different brands in the caravan park this year with different brand names on them that had obviously come out of the same builder.
Makes me wonder?
If one name gets a bad reputation, is there plan to confuse buyers?

Re: Opal caravans.
Hi Ken,
Can you remember what the various names were, I know Opal are sold by Seventh St Carvans under the name Vacationer. Any info you might remember would be helpful as we are just about to sign up for a new Opal. We have had a good close look at the build and it seem good. We have spoken to a few owners and they are very happy.

Re: Opal caravans.
Opal have been in business for yonks. They were across the road from Regal or Regent or one of those. From what I have seen of them they are finished quite well. Even to the detail of fitting the checker plate to the access doors in line with the rest of the van. Check out their website. They are in Halley Ct. I think. Doug
