Post battery management and water tank level meters
G'day I am hoping someone out there can help me locate a meter that will show battery level and two water storage tank levels.
I have located the ideal system on page 158 of Caravan & Motorhome mag. No 193.
Unfortunately this is fitted into the new Regent Cruiser.
My budget won't stretch to buy a new van.

G'day Hoppa,

You look kinda new - so welcome to this place :)

What is your reason for having both of these features within the one display (meter)?

That is if I correctly understand your query ;-)

Post Re: battery management and water tank level meters
Hi Hoppa,
Just seen OT question, I have treated the question as two separate meters, never seen any that can do both as they are very different items to meter.

I use this battery management meter: http://www.sailsmarine.com/ItemDetail.a ... lJURpG4YdU
Find it close to what the battery has in SOC and is a good meter but maybe a little expensive.

Water tank level, there are two systems available, one system has a probe inside the tank and can give about five different level indications and the other which is relatively new on the market is a meter that measures flow from the tank so you need to tell this meter how much water the tank holds and reset it when you refill the tank.
The flow meter needs only a flow transmitter fitted in the outlet water line which should be simple. The internal probe system is not to difficult to fit but you may need to remove your tank to fit the probe but is easy to fit.

I have the system with the level probe in the tank which works OK but mine is a bit old and uses a small battery that would last about three years and when you need to see the level you need to push a button.
There are newer level probe meters on the market that display all the time with a nice coloured display.

Hi Hoppa, and welcome,
Guys I just found the meter on the regent brochure and blew it up so I don't know if clear enough. The blurb says it is a Setec unit and looks quite good.

If that is the case you have a name to buy from, and don't need to buy the whole van... :D

Mine are the same as yours JR and look a bit old hat compared to this beauty.

Hi people,

Coast to Coast do have a 2 water tank level and a battery level all in one.
I had one fitted in my Jayco at Watsons Caravans in Port Macquarie before I left in 2012.
Fro memory it cost me $300.00 supply & fitted. It has probes to both tanks and lines to the battery.
It shows E, 1/3, 2/3, F lights for both tanks and WEAK, FAIR, GOOD, CHARGED on the battery indicator lights.

I am trying to add a photo of it but haven't done it before so it could take me a while.

Stay tuned for the photo.

Cheers

Hi again Hoppa and welcome to the forum,
I knew I should not have said I have never seen an all in one!
Thanks for the info Tojo, yes makes my stuff look a bit ancient but still the BM-1 battery monitor is good but cannot tell the time.

Yes does the lot and this is the link to the PDF manual:
http://www.setec.com.au/wp-content/uplo ... Manual.pdf
Looks like Setec make them for Jayco about $600.
