Caravan Show
We went to the Wauchope caravan show the other weekend, what an experience.
After viewing quite a few vans we came to the conclusion that some of the builders/designers must never ever go and use their product in the real world. Interiors designed by men with no thought for how practical it would be to prepare a meal.
The general idea is to lure the lady of the house to be impressed with a washing machine fitted in any where it will fit, a bit of glitz here and there and "hey presto" we have a winner.
The prize for bad taste must go to the good ole USA for the interior fitout of the van from the "deep south."
Having said that, there was also a big (IMO) improvement in the fitout standard of the Aussie vans, in particular we liked the innovative thinking of the Sunliner brand.
The ideas behind the camper trailers and genuine offroaders was inspiring.
This year we have noticed a large variation of rv's on the road and in the c/p's.
