We are booked to arrive in Tasmania on the 21st Sept just before the start of the Sept/Oct school holidays.Should we book a few places to stay for the school holidays or can you just wing it.We will be their for a couple of months and intent on just winging it but not knowing if the local go bananas for that holiday period.Yours Peter

We spent 6 weeks during December 2014 and January 2015 in Tassie, we found that we did not have any problems at that time of year staying in caravan parks and low cost ( free camps ). Even the East coast had plenty of places to stay.

Tassie tourist season does not get into full swing until the middle of December and starts to quieten down early March. September October could be wet, windy and cold. School holidays in September is when Tassie holidays in Queensland.
