Table Legs

Post by masterplumber » Wed Jun 07, 2017 7:44 pm

We currently have a dinette table with a fixed position 70mm Fiamma leg.

we would like some adjustment and are considering something like oneof these:

I apologize in advance if the link doesn't work smoothly but am having trouble getting the tablet to work like a PC

Any thoughts welcome.

MP, is your existing suitable fodder for a pipe-bender?

I don't know about those but we have one similar to this

And we find it fantastic as it allows the table to be out of the way most times but move it out and make it easy to use when needed

Only if you happen to have an exhaust bender in your shed. :D

I do.... that's why I asked. Mine takes up to 3"

I really thought a plumber may also have an old pipe bender from the up to 2" Gal days.

The tube is quite thin and that is why I recon an exhaust bender might be ok.

Standard pipe benders are too crude for tube where you normally would use 2 formers. Throat and heel.

For smaller pipes we used tree forks.

Some wooden blocks and rear wheels of concrete trucks were good for 50mm waste pipes. :D

Well done, Gerry. We are from the same era although when I started there were no concrete trucks.

I've previously used the Ajusta and found it very good, in fact moved it across a couple of vans.
Approx. $160.
