40A for the compressor might be too light as they draw a lot of current when at full pressure if possible go 60A.

30A for the van will be enough.

A bit of a warning on those fuses. You can plug the blade in and they go down beside the contacts they still work but they end up creating at hot joint and then you end up with a molten mess. The way to avoid this is to peel back the base and look at where the fuses go.

Hi Jdog,
I would think 40amps should do it.
I personally fit those thermal auto reset circuit breakers on high current stuff but the fuse should be good.

Thanks to all for your advice

I now have the vehicle in the driveway

Just a quick query, the Anderson plug holders have red LEDs that glow constantly.

As indicated previously, one is connected to the cranking battery, the other to the auxiliary battery.
The vehicle isn't a daily driver, more weekend use.
Should I be worried about battery power consumption?

cheers

JD,

Red LEDs may typically draw 10 to 20 mA depending upon intended brightness.

If 20 mA then that is 3.4 Ah per 7 days per LED.

I haven't followed this thread closely but wondering why there is battery at the Anderson plugs when the tug is not in use?

Thank you OT
I wanted the Andersons to be wired that way - maybe I need to re-think that
cheers
