Mildura to broken Hill

Post by Wallybrit » Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:39 pm

What's the road from Mildura to Broken Hill like. I am planning trip next March and my tow vehicle is a 2002 Falcon, which I have used towed my 1800 Jacyo to Queenland with no trouble.

Wally, a regular bitumen road.

No probs for a Falcon towing a van :)

Same goes for from the Hill to Silverton, which is a must for any Mad Max fan :D

Broken Hill to Silverton I might have done a bit quick. It is a bit of a wavy run with lots of dips in a certain area.
Any way with a rear kitchen, the glass stove lid opened and came down shut. Shattered completely.

Mind you if nothing has ever happened to you you would never know. I have been around a bit and that is the only time I had any incident like that. I replaced it with a SS top.
Some times I do go a bit quick :)
I now have to note that I cannot accept owners ship, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

Not a bad road at all. Agree with OT Silverton is a must see even just if it is to watch the Asian Tourists chase the Donkeys.

The Daydream Mine is work a look; http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/200 ... 341418.htm

The Scuptures are also worth a look. If you are a photographer sunset is magic there but do take a torch to find your way back to the car....

St Patricks Day Races are on every March, I'd book a spot at a Van park if you're going around the 18th...

In March at the Hill it can be quite warm....
