Thank you pelbo I now run my Genny on the floor between front seat and back seat.

Don't the fumes stink out the car? Surely the smell of the exhaust stays in the car for days.

I must agree with you Frank. Not the place I would set up the Gennie.
Still waiting for a real answer to this problem. What about a small wire trellis over the Gennie then covered in say pink Bats or similar material to deaden the Gennie.
Still leave each end open for air. ?????
I have visited a Battery World shop for ideas, but alas nobody could help.

I suppose the river idea is better...most of them have handles so would be easy to use as a boat mooring anchor.

Not a good idea, what happens tho the river eco system? Most are are in a poor condition and getting worse.
